The suspect, identified as Dominik Oseko Ngisa, was arrested following intelligence reports provided to officers from the Anti-Narcotics Unit in Mombasa.
He was intercepted at Jomvu, where a search of his Toyota Axio, registration number KCK 544J, uncovered rolls of cannabis concealed in the vehicle’s boot.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) noted, “Acting on intelligence, our officers arrested Dominik Oseko Ngisa at Jomvu along the Mombasa-Nairobi Road. A detailed search of the car revealed several rolls of bhang expertly hidden in the boot, underscoring the creativity employed by drug traffickers.”
In a related operation, officers from Kiembeni Police Station raided a house near Kiembeni Primary School, where they recovered six sacks of bhang.
