Wildfires Ravage Los Angeles County, Leaving Devastation and Loss
Over 2,000 homes, businesses, and other structures have been damaged or destroyed, and at least five lives have been lost as wildfires continue to devastate communities across Los Angeles County. This marks one of the most destructive firestorms in the region’s history.
The five victims were discovered in three structures in Altadena, where the Eaton Fire erupted Tuesday night, leaving residents with little time to evacuate.
According to the L.A. County Fire Department, the Palisades Fire has destroyed more than 1,000 structures, while the Eaton Fire has either damaged or destroyed another 1,000.
